The Dirty Thirty
I’m turning 30 in 2013.
I have a notebook where I write my thoughts and ideas into every morning, and I’ve started a list I’ve dubbed the “Dirty Thirty”.
A list of things I want to do, accomplish and try between my 29th and 30th birthday. This includes random things like solve a Rubik’s cube in under 30 seconds (my current record being around 6 minutes) and win any contest, to more adult things like being completely debt free.
My list doesn’t lock in until I turn 29 in July, so I constantly tweak it.
I found the best way to edit the list is to rewrite it weekly without referring back to the previous week’s list. This way anything that I keep writing is something I really want to do.
Despite not looking at previous lists, I know learning to surf will keep popping up.
