During a busy lunch hour at the Time Square Subway station, I saw a set of keys fall out of a man’s pocket as he rushed to the train. It had a tag with contact information on it for this exact situation. The whole time I walked out of the station I kept thinking I should pick it up and contact the owner. Yet I kept walking. After a certain point I felt so bad that I assumed someone would see how long it took me to pick it up, I didn’t want to go back. I want to blame New York for getting me used to the idea that we’re all busy and have things to do. But that’s bullshit. I’m an asshole. We’re all in this together. I’m changing this.

On that note, you learn a lot by asking someone what’s their story. The guy living on the street and the guy on Wall Street, we’re all just trying to get through the day.
