With the advent of smartphones, it seems like everyone’s a photographer these days. You’d think longtime pros like Stephanie Roberts would be threatened — but she’s embracing the new wave of shooters, and has even put out a book to help neophyte iPhone photographers start out: The Art of iPhoneography. Roberts has shared some of the book’s images and her philosophy on iPhoneography with LIFE.com. “I don’t walk around all the time with my SLR (single-lens reflex camera), but your iPhone is always with you,” she says. “You have access to more spontaenous moments.”

Reminds me of when I documented fashion week last year with my Droid. I can’t wait til I switch over to an iphone with their HDR photos.
