My friend Alyasha is a design powerhouse and a legend in the streetwear industry. We met through Self Edge, which happens to be a shop that aligns well with his passion for vintage American fashion and culture. He’s also one of the most stylish dudes I know. I’m happy to see him get some shine with PF Flyers, a company he’s been supporting his whole life.

I recently met Alyasha at Self Edge when I was shooting Andrew for a project.

I didn’t know who he was or talk to him very long as he was on his way out.

Today, Andrew posts this video and I come to find out he co-founded the brand Fiber Ops. A brand I was obsessed in my early college days as I was getting into fashion, specifically streetwear. I spent most of my money on Japanese magazines, and piled up stacks of tears with any mention of them. 

Always love how small and circular life can be.
